Talk about anything related to DTA.
DTA 1.11
Some things I noticed while playing it:
- I saw some weird scrambling in the campaign selection menu at a point, but it seems to have fixed itself.
- Sometimes units don't seem exit from the Nod airfield.
- The commander in the first mission has no sounds, so it feels a bit awkward controlling him.
The EVA sound for repairing sounds edited. Wasn't there already an unused sound for repairing in Tiberium Dawn?- Will there be some sort of a Nod campaign in the future?
- When you end a skirmish/multiplayer game, why does the EVA only say "Terminated"?

DTA Trailer
Never done a trailer for a video game before. Hope you all enjoy it.
May do some tweaking to the trailer later once I get more comfortable with a more robust editing software.

Stealth detection
I've been playing C&C games for along time now, and the most interesting thing I've found, is how your gameplay adapts to a new release, and even more interesting, is how you play those "older" games after a bunch of new ones came out.
Let me tell you a story first before I make my suggestion. I've played the campaigns on Dawn for years now, maybe once a year, or I skip a year. Playing as Nod is very easy with their Stealth tanks. Not many units could detect them, and you'd have to get very close to a defense to be revealed. Fast forward nearly a decade, Tiberium Wars comes out. The amount of units that could detect stealthed objects was insane, it frustrated me at first. It almost seemed that EVERYTHING could detect Stealth objects. I then did some comparisons between the two games and realized that might have been the goal all along. I now think that C&C 3 has a good balance, and I think it plays well. You could argue that Dawn did not have a good balance. I made a map last year for this mod (never released, need to tweak), I had my CY walled off, and ALL my units camping my lone entrance, even Infantry which usually detect Stanks A LOT better then tanks. About five minutes into the map, Nod stanks somehow got into my base, and OWNED my CY with thier arcing missles. I was puzzled, I made sure to debugg the terrain on my map to see I made an error somewhere, I didn't. I then realized the stealth ability and the lack of units to detect it well, rolled over my base. Now when I play, my first defense is block my base with walls, not towers.
How are other vehicles going to react to Stanks? How are Infantry? Is this something that has been considered? I guess to stay true and as close to dawn as possible, it may be better to leave as is. Maybe in the enhanced mode, this could be looked at.
Thoughts?

Trouble Playing DTA on CnCNet
Heya guys I am having trouble trying to play DTA 1.10 on CnCNet. To my understanding I need to put the modified "wsock32.dll" file into the DTA directory and rename it to "UDP_DTA.dll". I then tried going into the Lan lobby but wasn't connected to CnCNet. So next I tried copying in the CnCNet.exe and CnCNet.dll and tried to launch DTA via double clicking CnCNet.exe as this worked for Tiberium Sun. However a message popped up saying that "CnCNet.exe could not find any compatible games in current directory. Sorry
"
Is there something I am doing wrong or missing something? It would be cool if I could get some assistance.
I am running Windows 7 64bit and using CnCNet v 3.1a
Cheers guys

Just showin some love
Wanted to stop by and thank you for this wonderful mod and all the hard work everyone's put into it. The mod's great fun. Planning a lan party soon. Also working on another trailer/review if that's alright with Bittah Commander.

Is there any plans for the campaign to be included?
Do you have any plans to include the campaign or is that just not possible with the current amount of work your facing?

DTA Hamachi online multiplayer
Hi there,
if anyone is interested in playing this beautiful game with human oponents instead of not so tricky computer AI,
i suggest we could set up a network via Hamachi (downloadable for free, try to find it with some search engine on internet),
where we can see if anyone else is online and post messages to set up matches on particular time.
Please post here in forum, if you are interestred!

Online Play
Hey guys, I was wondering if DTA worked for online play. I tried playing online but it says I have to register on an XWIS server, so I tried to do that from the game but it will just give an error after a while of connecting.
Is it possible to play online with other people?
What do I have to do to play online?
