Hi

I am new here Big smile
I have tried the classic mode to play with the AI and also lan with my brother yesterday.

I want to throw in some ideas about the balance of the game based on the CnC95 (since it is a classic mode =D ).

1. Advanced Guard Tower is overpowered (OP).
- cannot one hit kill with Ion Cannon.
- It deals a lot of dmg to tanks, infantries, and also heli's
- It can attack a very long range
- It does not need that much power to run (well this is just like the classic CnC95 so it's good)
- It is very accurate

I think it should have less hitpoint since it is not that hard to take out in the CnC95

2. Mammoth Tank is OP
- It does not always shoot rockets on infantries (as you all know Laughing out loud, in CnC95) => this makes it hard to take off with rocket soldiers

3. Obelisk of Light is far too weak
- It used to be able to 2 hit kill Mid Tank (1 hit = 4/5 HP gone) and 3 hit kill Mammoth Tank ( 1 hit = 3/7 or 4/9 gone )
- The hp of this structure is good Smile

4. Stealth Tank is kind of weak
- The dmg that tank and Mommeth Tank and deal with it is kind of too much. ( but this is not so obvious, i think)

5. Unit Speed
- (Light Tank and Medium Tank) Light Tank is supposed to be a little bit faster than medium tank Smile

I think these are the basics i have noticed... I will keep trying out different things so that it can be as Cnc95 as possible Laughing out loud

I actually used a program to look up the different unit and building properties in C&C95 and copied those over to DTA, but strangely there's apparently still some differences.
I'll try and improve it a little, thanks for your suggestions Smile

Nice - seems like your balance test results are reasonable.

I also noticed that some vehicels like the rocket launcher are way to fast in moving.

First, Thanks to DTA dev team. Without you guys, I would not be able to do these changes


This is just to share with other Smile
I have made a lot of changes to balance the game out according to my CnC95 experience Tongue

The things I have changed are mainly focused "range."
(range around
- 2.5 to 3.5 = flame tank range (somewhat like melee? )
- 4 to 5 = tank attack range, (normal attack range)
- 6 = MLRS (long range)
- 7 = SSM Launcher (super long range)
- 6.25 = Advanced Guard tower and 6.5 = Oblisk of light ( a bit further than guard tower and turrent)

I will keep making changes. Hopefully people can enjoy this too.

p.s1 I do not think that I have thouched any unites in the enhanced mode (or maybe just the OP hover launcher)
p.s2 I have not changed any boat attacking range
