Lost Lake
by SeriousToni
Description:
Map for 2 to 4 players which has a big lake in it's centre.
Players start around this lake. However there is much space to explore.
Here's another map I want to offer for you. It's quiet interesting. So have fun!

I am happy that it's to your taste
And you even added it to the upcoming version!
You did a nice feedback again which helps me for the future.
Thanks a lot, I hope people will like it.

From what I can see the map is simple and sweet, it would definitely make for some interesting games online but definitely not so fun against the AI as the bases are so close together. Shame the AI in TS can't be programmed to be as smart as the AI in Generals. Anyway, yeah, simple is nice in some cases but I feel this map is a bit too plain in most areas; I'm aware there isn't much you can do with the very limited terrain that TD has to offer, but you should try throwing in a bit more shape with cliffs, some little ponds, lakes and some rocky areas around the map, a river or two flowing through the map would definitely add to the detail factor too. But yeah, overall: An interesting map which will make for tactical gameplay online, but would benefit from some more detail touches. Try adding some extra bits here and there and see how much some small details can add to the maps feel.

This map is a lot better than your other one. It has a unique look to it, and a different approach than most other maps. Even though it is symmetrical, I'm certain it will bring in some of the better 4-player matches. The detail, layout and balance are approved of.
Very good job!

Thank you both, Aro and Crash, for your nice feedback! I really love to read through your thoughts and take them with me till I create the next map.
To the detail thing I have to say, I considered setting in rivers too, but left out because they took too much room which was needed to give the players a place for a secondary base. But I understand your concern
Thanks again!

I made a few small edits to this map to make it compatible with DTA 1.10 and added some objects to to keep units from traveling in between the lake and the cliffs.
So if you don't mind, I'll include this map with DTA 1.10
Edit:
It's been added to the maps list
