You probably thought about it or it has already been discussed but having spent a few years playing Cossacks with peacetime I wondered if same could be implemented into this Mod, It would stop all the old time Tankrushing and make for a far more valued game experience.
We did a 10 minute agreed peacetime earlier and the game was far more satisfying for it.

Doing something like that with the TS engine is impossible. If you play with other human players (without AIs), it's of course possible to agree to a "no start rushing" rule, the game just won't be enforcing it.

I actually made a TS map years ago which entirely prevented people from attacking one another with firestorm walls during the first 5 or 10 minutes (I don't remember which it was; I made this map before I even started working on DTA I think, so that's quite a while back) and after the timer reached 0 the firestorm walls would turn off and self-destruct. DTA of course doesn't have any firestorm walls, but I imagine a similar result could be achieved with placeholder graphics using just rules.ini code on a map.

Ah, that's a clever way of doing it. However it's still restricted to one certain map.
