Never done a trailer for a video game before. Hope you all enjoy it.

May do some tweaking to the trailer later once I get more comfortable with a more robust editing software.

Looks interesting, although I must say the resolution you used is quite low. Did you decide to use a low res because you're using FRAPS to record the screen and it causes lag with too high resolutions? If so, try switching to Camtasia Studio instead.
I actually started off with Camtasia Studio myself, but ended up switching to FRAPS because I couldn't figure out how to make it record sound from TS after I'd installed Vista and I had the same issue yet again in Windows 7, but not long ago I figured out enabling Stero-mix in the sound properties does the trick and I'm liking it much better than FRAPS now too.

Also, if you're looking for good video editing software, I recommend Sony Vegas; I used it for all trailers I made for DTA so far.

And by some strange coincidence I finished a trailer for DTA 1.11 exactly today as well Tongue I'll likely upload it some time tomorrow.

It was somewhat done on purpose. I used Camtasia or Camstudio (or some other free software) to capture a part of the screen. It was meant to "hide" the GUI off screen and capture the action as it was taking place.

I had trouble getting FRAPs to record at all in DTA.

It is low-res compared to what you put out, but again, that was to show where the action is, rather than a big, beautiful battlefield with 3 tanks fighting in the corner.

I'll probably do another one down the line, but I've got other games to kill :]

Nice. While it doesn't really have any very large-slace battles and the editing is simple, it does show the mod pretty well.
