Hi, it is hard after playing starcraft a long time to put up with the old C&C control system.
Most I miss a key button to let the units hold the position. The artillery always run after an enemy when it see one. Then I am more busy with collecting my units instead ofattacking the enemy.
The second wish would be a possibility to change the game speed by + and - on the keyboard. There are are often game phases when you don't have to do anything and sometimes so much to do, that every second is important. So to change the game speed instant without the menu would be great.
Hope that is possible to implement.
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately there's no way to add shortcut keys for functions that can't already have shortcut keys assigned to them. Considering the range Nod's artillery in the enhanced mode however, it's indeed annoying if it chases every single threat that gets near it and the only way to solve that issue is by making it not automatically engage enemies that enter its firing range unless it's fired upon first. So I'll implement this solution only for Nod's artillery in the enhanced mode.

Also I personally think that it's better to just learn to play on Speed 5's (= Faster) pace rather than lowering the gamespeed on all harder situations, as once you learn to handle that speed you usually also learn to be a much faster and a generally better player than before.

Thanks for the replys,
actually I am from the Civilisation corner, so I prefer a slower way
Unfortunally C&C also doesn't support a "go to the point and attack enemys on the way" order, which is also very nice to use in Starcraft if the enemey is very fast or you have no time to track your units when they are moving.
The idea not to engage the enemy for the NOD artillery seems good, but then I suggest you also do this to the gdi artillery hover, which is the counterpart in my eyes. I use it also as artillery.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards

The Hover MLRS will be scrapped from GDI actually and GDI's long range unit will likely be the normal Rocket Launcher, although it'll still have a shorter range than Nod's artillery. Disabling auto-fire for this unit as well is a possibility, but some play-testing will have to indicate whether it's really preferable for it as well or not (considering its range is shorter than that of the artillery).

mhm, that seem's a good deal.
I also agree, that the normal gdi Launcher better suits as artillery.

I do have a suggestion, but it will only work a SMALL amount of the time.
If your Artillery's are defending, just surround them with walls. They will still be able to arc over the wall themselves, but not take return fire from most ground units. Annoying I know, but it works.
